"Pet Obsessed" Greetings started as a pet photography business called "Mutt Shots Photography" in winter 2005. Although the business did well in the beginning, it wasn't until Fall of 2006 that it REALLY took off.

Unfortunately, that was also the time that Holly opened another pet related business. The new business required a large time commitment, so Holly was forced to discontinue pet photography for the time being.

It wasn't long before Holly missed her photography as a creative outlet and that was when "Pet Obsessed" Greetings was born. She was able to use her experience with animals to create poetry and phrases relating to pets. AND, she was able to use her photography to adorn the cards.

"Pet Obsessed" greetings was created by Holly because she noticed a lack of expressive greetings formulated for pets, pet lovers, and their needs. Pets are a part of our families, and there is a need to express to the people we care about how much they mean to us.

We have always had a way to express our sorrow when someone loses a family member, or happiness when a baby is born, but to many people losing a pet or getting a new puppy is just as meaningful. Now we have a way to tell our loved ones how we feel!

Amy Perzan - Card Graphic Designer and Co-Creator

Amy Perzan has been working with Mutt Shots Photography since inception in winter 2005. Amy was responsible for creating our logo and most of our business’s advertising information.

When it came down to the graphic design of our greeting cards, it was a no-brainer who would be doing to work for us! Amy’s natural creativity was “tapped into” during our brainstorming sessions and is reflected in many of the phrases used in our greeting cards.

Amy’s business – Meringue 314 – was created because she saw a need for a graphic design company with a marketing approach. Meringue 314 focuses on building relationships and providing clients with access to a graphic designer that has an “in-house” feel without the “in-house” price tag!

Amy works with local suppliers to support our local economy. She is also conscientious to avoid waste and is doing her part to create a demand for recycled products which will hopefully bring their cost down and make them more attainable by small to medium sized businesses eager to do their part.
